Prospects uses its expertise to provide services in an innovative way to deliver meaningful change. In the South West Prospects provides the Work Programme, a Government welfare to work scheme, and developed the Ascent delivery model. The approach uses a variety of interventions, and has helped more than 23,000 customers overcome barriers and take step towards sustainable employment.
At Feltham Young Offenders Institution Prospects provides education for all young people. Prospects has increased the number of hours a young person in custody at Feltham spends in education each week to equip them with qualifications and skills to break the cycle of reoffending when they leave detention. In 2017, Feltham's first cohort of GCSE students took 45 maths and English GCSEs, three-quarters of learners achieved passes.
