Prospects Chief Executive speaks at masterclass
Prospects recently hosted the SOLACE Masterclass, How to tackle the skills crisis and enable sustainable local growth. SOLACE (Society of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers) is the representative body for senior strategic managers working in the public sector and its members are key decision makers within the public sector.
The masterclass addressed how local authorities could collectively ensure people are adequately equipped with the skills needed to meet the demands of modern local and regional economies and the industries of the future. Prospects is well placed to support local authorities address the skills gap and provide innovative solutions to the challenges facing local government.
As host, Nick Bell opened the masterclass providing an overview and set the scene regarding skills crisis and funding crisis. Nick also then chaired a session on a whole system approach to using the skills and employment agenda to bring about inclusive growth.
