School, Parent and Family Engagement

The Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) programme is designed to encourage parent and family engagement with their children’s education and consists of;
- Leading Parent Partnership Award – a national award, endorsed by DCSF, recognising the achievements of schools and early years settings and their commitment to working effectively with parents and carers.
- An extensive programme of training, professional development and consultancy to support school staff and other professionals working to improve parent partnerships.
The LPPA Toolkit
The LPPA Toolkit is an exciting new addition to the LPPA Programme. It is designed to act as a freestanding resource, to help schools and other educational settings develop and enhance their parent partnership work. The Toolkit is a practical guide for schools and organisations aiming to achieve the Leading Parent Partnership Award and contains practical support materials, ideas and guidance.
The LPPA programme contributes to the delivery of national priorities including Extended Schools, Community Cohesion and Every Child Matters and the achievement of ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted judgements in schools' effectiveness in engaging with parents and carers.
